Born in 1975 in Sydney Australia, Dale has always had a strong fascination with the visual arts.
His works and interest spans diverse forms and eras, ranging from the earliest historic designs
through to contemporary works and Science Fiction.

He was first introduced to the visual arts through his mother, who is herself a practicing artist.
From an early age she encouraged Dale to explore his creativity, enrolling him in after school art classes.

Dale studied a Bachelor of Industrial Design at Newcastle University NSW and is self taught and proficient in
3D design and sculpture software as well as 2D digital Illustration using Photoshop and Painter.
After his studies he became involved in the film industry. He was initially employed in areas such as
scenic art and sculpture.

In 2001 he found an inroad into the role of Concept Artist and has since worked on several US feature films,
the most recent being Guardians of Ga’Hoole where he worked as a designer of environments, props, and costumes.
He currently resides in Manly NSW.
